Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ParkSmart India handles information in the customer parking reservation service.

Information we collect

• Account information: name, mobile number, email address, city, encrypted account PIN, vehicle type, and vehicle registration number.
• Reservation information: parking location, planned date, time and duration, selected pay-at-exit preference, cancellation status, and booking history.
• Location information: location is collected only when you choose Detect My Location or save your parked vehicle location. You can select your city manually instead.
• Uploaded content: parking-space photos supplied when listing a space and valet proof photos associated with a reservation.
• Rewards information: points, coupons, milestone rewards, referral codes, and qualifying paid-session history.
• Technical information: basic request, device, browser, security, and error information needed to operate and protect the service. We do not use an advertising ID and do not currently serve advertising.

How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, recover access by email, reserve parking, prevent duplicate or abusive rewards, show booking and rewards history, provide location features you request, support customers, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

Payments and rewards

Customer booking is reservation-only and no advance payment is collected. Wallet and FASTag payments are not active. Digital payment at exit is not active in the current customer release. Rewards, coupons, referrals, and milestone benefits finalize only after an eligible successful paid parking session when that settlement capability is activated.

Third parties and sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share only the information needed with parking providers to fulfil reservations and with service providers that host or secure the app. If you request location detection, coordinates are sent to OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service to identify a city or area. Google Maps opens only when you choose navigation. Support links may open your phone, email client, or WhatsApp. Email recovery requires a transactional email provider once configured. Razorpay infrastructure is present for a future exit-payment workflow but live customer checkout is disabled.

Retention and deletion

Account and recovery data is retained while your account is active. Single-use recovery links expire after 20 minutes. Security request records may be retained for abuse prevention. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, credentials, rewards, referrals, saved location, uploaded personal photos, and related account data, and cancel active reservations. We may retain anonymized booking or transaction records where required for accounting, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution. Those retained records are no longer linked to your account or contact details.

Security and choices

PINs and recovery tokens are stored as cryptographic hashes. Recovery links are time-limited and single-use, and resetting a PIN invalidates older authenticated sessions. You may update your profile, decline location and notification permissions, or delete your account from Account > Delete Account. You may also request deletion at our public deletion page.

Children

ParkSmart India is a general parking service and is not directed to children. Users must be legally able to make parking reservations and accept these terms.
